Bettering Our Together: We have officially begun the adoption process!!!

Our application process to adopt our little girl has begun!  I am excited and anxious for the steps ahead.  I have so many stories that have led up to this huge decision that we now share with you.  My past experiences in working with various orphanages around the world (Mexico, Uganda, China), God's evident orchestration and my husband's gracious flexibility (SURPRISE honey, I know we had decided we were "done" having children but...:) have played the biggest role in this decision.

How I wish my mother was still here to witness this exciting time in our lives!  Despite her physical absence, I do feel her spirit close.  How else do I describe the blooming of the gorgeous camellia on the day I met with the kind Mae from Holt International? This Camellia was given in her honor just 3 short years ago and this is only the second time it has bloomed.  It seems fitting that I pick up blogging again as we seek to add another precious life to our family as the last time I blogged was just after her life on this earth ended.

I have so much more to say, but for now... this will do.  Much love to you all and we thank you for your prayers as we embark on this unknown journey, putting our trust in the Lord's plan for the road ahead.  I have a renewed sense in God's plan for our lives, which I'll admit wavered after losing my mama.  Together as a family we seek to embody one of Trav's tattoos which says, "Love More."  The Kroegers have more love to give and now we seek to continue something that was on my heart a while back.  I didn't fully comprehend the meaning or magnitude at the time, but now it makes perfect sense, please join us as we grow from that seed planted and tended to long ago.  I'm so excited to be "bettering our together" not just as a couple but as a family as well!  If you would like to give to help us monetarily on this journey please follow the link below.
